Responsible Participation

Responsible use of EdgeLineup
matters more than any leaderboard.

EdgeLineup Fantasy Sports is built as a free-to-play, skill-based product. There are no deposits, no paid entries, and no cash rewards. Even with zero financial risk, we still want people to use the platform in a healthy, balanced way.

18+ only India (eligible regions) Free-to-play

This page explains how EdgeLineup thinks about “responsible gaming” for a product that does not involve real-money play. It’s about time, attention, and making sure cricket stays fun, not something that takes over your day.

Quick facts
  • No deposits: You never add money into EdgeLineup.
  • No cash rewards: You don’t play for payouts.
  • No paid entry fees: All gameplay is free-to-play.
  • 18+ only: Minors are not allowed to create or use accounts.
  • Restricted regions: Users in certain Indian states cannot participate.

What EdgeLineup actually is

EdgeLineup is designed to feel more like a strategy tool for cricket fans than anything else. You build fantasy lineups, track scoring based on real matches, and compare your decisions with others.

  • A skill-based fantasy cricket experience where decisions are built around roles, matchups, and conditions.
  • Free-to-play from registration onward—no upsells, no “tokens”, no premium tiers.
  • A product that rewards knowledge, planning, and consistency, not spending.
  • A way for cricket fans to simulate decisions and see how they would perform under different match scenarios.

What EdgeLineup is not

To be completely clear, EdgeLineup is not built around money or financial risk.

  • It is not a platform that accepts deposits or handles real-money play.
  • It does not provide cash rewards, payouts, or prize pools.
  • It does not ask for card, bank, or wallet details for gameplay.
  • It does not encourage users to treat fantasy cricket as a way to make money.
  • It is not an investment product, earning tool, or money-making scheme.

Age limits and who can use EdgeLineup

Even though the platform is free-to-play, it’s restricted to adult users. That’s a deliberate choice.

  • EdgeLineup is for users aged 18 and above only.
  • During access, you pass through an age and eligibility gate.
  • If we learn that an account is used by someone under 18, we may restrict or close that account.

If you’re a parent or guardian and believe a minor is using EdgeLineup, you can contact us at support@edgelineup.com and we’ll review it.

Location and regional restrictions

EdgeLineup is built in India and follows a cautious, region-aware approach.

  • The platform is intended for users located in India, in regions where fantasy sports products are permitted.
  • EdgeLineup is not available for users in:
Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Telangana, or Tamil Nadu.
  • If you are accessing EdgeLineup from one of these states, you should not create an account or participate.

For more detail on how we handle eligibility and regions, see the Compliance page.

Healthy ways to use a fantasy sports product

Even without money involved, it’s possible to spend more time on a product than you planned to. We’d rather nudge you towards balance.

Set time boundaries

Decide how much time you want to spend before you start. For example: checking lineups around fixtures, not scrolling endlessly every few minutes.

Keep perspective

EdgeLineup shows you how good your cricket calls were, nothing more. Your value is not tied to your rank on any leaderboard.

Take breaks

If you notice you’re checking results or fixtures too often, step away for a while. Cricket and strategy should feel like a break, not another pressure.

Don’t chase “perfect”

No one reads every match perfectly. Use results as feedback for your thinking, not a reason to keep tweaking lineups non-stop.

If EdgeLineup stops feeling fun

Free-to-play doesn’t automatically mean “no problem”. If you ever feel like the platform is taking more of your focus than you’re comfortable with, we’d rather you step back.

  • You feel irritated or restless when not checking fixtures, scores, or lineups.
  • You’re skipping other important tasks just to “fine tune” fantasy decisions.
  • You keep refreshing leaderboards even when nothing major is changing.
  • Friends or family are telling you that you’re “always on” the platform.

In those situations, consider:

  • Taking a full break from EdgeLineup for a few days or weeks.
  • Limiting yourself to certain fixtures instead of every match.
  • Turning off notifications or bookmarks that pull you back in.

If you need help closing an account or have concerns about usage, you can write to support@edgelineup.com .

No payment data, no cash flows

EdgeLineup does not ask for or store payment details for gameplay. There is no concept of wallet balances or monetary “chips” inside the product.

  • No card, UPI, or bank details are required to participate.
  • No internal wallet, credit system, or “top-up” flow.
  • No conversion of points or rankings into cash or gift value.

Ads and tracking approach

The focus is on the experience itself, not on bombarding users with promotions.

  • No pop-up ads that interrupt lineups or scoring.
  • No sale of your usage data for targeting third-party real-money products.
  • A clear separation between product communication and any marketing activity.

Keeping fantasy cricket in its right place

At the end of the day, EdgeLineup exists so cricket followers can test their read of the game. It should sit alongside your other hobbies, not replace them. No deposits, no payouts, no “high stakes” pressure—just clear rules and strategy-heavy decisions.

If you ever feel like your usage is slipping out of balance, take a break or contact us. We’d rather lose a session than let the product feel unhealthy.
